Citrus: Slight delay, pleasing forecasts
The campaign for citrus fruits is currently in the starting blocks, confirms Dieterich. In just under two weeks, the first shipments from local cultivation in Germany will arrive, a little later than usual. „The cold in April and May has particularly affected the flowering of some fruits, such as grapefruit.“ For the other citrus fruits, the weather was not so problematic. According to Dieterich, there are still big gains in the Orri-Clementines. „These are best done between January and April-May and we see that the demand is increasing year by year.“
